City Nature Challenge
Cities around the world compete to see who makes the most observations of nature. Participate in an event or make individual observations and add them to the project.
Albuquerque will compete with more than 130 communities across the world to make and share observations in nature. The City Nature Challenge is designed to encourage people to get outside and help scientists collect biodiversity data. Take pictures of what you find with the iNaturalist app or upload photos to the website.
The Nature Conservancy is hosting a City Nature Challenge event at the Raven Pond between 2200 and 2300 Don Andres Road SW on Sunday, April 28. The pond is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control. Take a guided walk around the pond to observe all living things. TNC will provide light refreshments. Please park in the gravel area between the road and pond.
