Jenny Lewis
Hail to Whatever You Found in Sunlight that Surrounds You

If you had stopped by the office at Weekly Alibi HQ about 15 years ago, you might have noticed that Seattle radio station KEXP-FM was playing. And I was probably entranced, waiting for the next time the station deigned to play a song by a band they kept strongly implying would be the next big thing. For Rilo Kiley, that moment never quite came, but the ensemble proved fertile ground for future sounds. As singer, songwriter and guitarist for the outfit, Jenny Lewis grew substantially as an artist during those halcyon days, and has released a slew of hot vinyl on her own, including this year's On The Line, which features cool weirdos like Don Was and Jim Keltner. Anyway, she'll be jamming out all indie style at KiMo Theatre on Tuesday, May 14, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets for this all-ages concert range in price from $27 to $39. (August March)
