The public is invited to bring a favorite album cover of their own and tell their personal story of what it means to them. A turntable provided by Hi-Phy Records will be available to play tracks from vinyl albums.

This event is part of the Stories on the Sleeve: Connecting with Album Cover Art exhibit showcasing album covers from private collections and personal narratives that describe the album’s significance in the person’s life. Transition, wonder, maturity, mystery, discovery, reflection, and salvation are some of the themes reflected upon in the stories about a record and its album cover.

Stories on the Sleeve: Connecting with Album Cover Art will be on exhibit April 4 – June 21, 2019 at the New Mexico Humanities Council located at 4115 Silver SE, Albuquerque. Gallery visiting hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
