Meet The Speakers 

Nora Perrone-Bizzozero, PhD, is a researcher in the UNM Department of Neurosciences with a secondary appointment in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is also an absolutely wonderful and warm person with experience in her own family with mental illness. She brings both science and humanity to her speaking on Mental Illness.

Mason Tuck Shares his story in NAMI Albuquerque's "In Our Own Voice" and also does CIT, crisis intervention training, for the Albuquerque police department. He was trainedas a Breaking the Silence/New Mexico facilitator in 2015 and has co-facilitated in a number of Albuquerque high school health classes.   Mason likes presenting lessons on mental illness and stigma because it makes him feel good to be able to help others learn about mental health.

Heidi Grunberg, Ph.D, Int.FRIBA, ARB. Executive Director of NAMI New Mexico. Heidi is a transplant to New Mexico from the United Kingdom. A Graduate of the University of East Anglia and Goethe University Frankfurt. Heidi has held positions in both the Corporate and Not for Profit realms, most recently with The Cesar Chavez Foundation in Los Angeles, CA. Heidi lost her paternal Grandmother, Margret to suicide, and in 2016, her brother Dirksen to suicide. These life changing events, were the impetus for Heidi seeking out NAMI.
