A live performance and colorful look into the history of the inn including buried money, hidden rooms and the brothel.
History combines with magic to offer a unique look at a colorful part of Albuquerque's forgotten past. Built in 1881 as a brothel and saloon with "wine room in connection," the property has quite the colorful past. Tales of buried money, hidden rooms, and Billy the Kid are all waiting inside. Many a knife fight and shootout are just some of the echoes of its sordid past. The evening will expose the disreputable history of the property, including true ghost stories told by the owner combined with ghostly magic performed by the special performer, Blake.
The Painted Lady Bed & Brew is featured in Haunted Hotels & Ghostly Getaways of New Mexico.
Limited seating available. This is an outdoor event; please dress accordingly.
About the performer:
Blake's many years as an award-winning entertainer has taken him all over the United States as a stage and walk around performance artist. His performance medium is magic. He has performed in many venues ranging from private engagements to television. Although his love is magic, he is currently involved in the motion picture industry as an actor, extra and film crew member in New Mexico. He serves as a tour guide and a creative consultant to other professional performers and organizations.
Blake wrote, produced, directs and performs the show. Extensive research went into writing the script and the magic was chosen to fit the story. In addition, the set and props were designed and built by him, making the show experience a unique combination of story-telling and magic.
