Join Health Leadership High School Students for an Indie Lens PopUp FREE documentary film screening and discussion to be followed by a reception and school project exhibition. Set against the backdrop of the physician shortage and opioid epidemic in rural America, The Providers follows three “country doctors” in New Mexico at clinics offering care to all, regardless of ability to pay. As their personal struggles at times reflect those of their patients, the providers work to reach rural Americans who would otherwise be left without healthcare. Panel discussion will be moderated by HLH Students. PANELISTS: Ann Ruge, Nurse Midwife and Chris Ruge, Family Nurse Practitioner from El Centro Family Health Event hosted by Health Leadership High School and New Mexico PBS
