Star of David Water Prism

Lisa CherLisa Chernoff and Nancy & Jon Couch are the featured glass artists at Wild Hearts Gallery in June.  The public is invited to the opening reception on Saturday, June 8, 1-4 p.m. featuring dramatic one-of-kind fused glass and unique stained glass art.  Light refreshments will be served.  Wild Hearts Gallery is located in Placitas, at the Homestead Village, 221-B State Highway 165, 2 ½ miles from I-25.

Lisa Chernoff, a self-directed explorer and experimenter in kiln-fused glass, delights in captivating her viewers’ attention in her exclamatory sculptures.  Each piece is solid glass but is composed of numerous pieces and layers exploring the 3-dimensional and textural aspects of this medium.

Nancy and Jon Couch are renowned for their Water Prisms, which are 3-dimensional glass prisms designed to hold water and create dancing rainbows of color through sunlight. In addition to their prisms,  they make custom Nugget mirrors, stained glass windows, pyramid lamps, jewelry boxes and mandalas will be available in all shapes and sizes.

Wild Hearts Gallery is an artists' collective, supported by 14 longtime local artists.  They are painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, printmakers, jewelers, woodworkers, glass, fiber, and mosaic artists, who are committed to sharing with others the many ways they create. Wild Hearts Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
