A multimedia installation by Michael Ellis grapples with the historical, familial and spiritual implications of the rape and murder of his uncle.

Through sculpture, video, photography and archival material, Ellis explores the loss and trauma that imprinted upon his family after his uncle Jeff – still a child at the time – was sexually molested and killed along banks of the Mississippi River in 1972.

The exhibition features adult themes and is not suitable for children under 13
