Courtney Angermeier shows 31 portraits of women seen as inspirational to many. The portraits and writing on display are for sale via an online silent auction during the show.

Is the brainchild of artist Courtney Angermeier.  She has created 31 portraits of women seen as inspirational to many.  The portraits and writing on display are for sale via an online Silent Auction that will run for the duration of the show. July 5-14, 2019.  Also for sale are a limited number of cards and posters.

Viewers attending the closing on July 5 which includes a lineup of local female poets hosted by Mary Oishi.  Attendees are encouraged to participate by responding to the images with a poem or prose.  See the Tortuga gallery website for more information: 

The auction begins Friday, July 5th at 6:00 and closes on Sunday, July 14th at 4:00.  The beginning price for pieces is $150. All proceeds from the sale of the pieces will go to the Southwest Women’s Law Center, an organization in our community that works to: eliminate gender bias, ensure access to information and services in the area of reproductive health, and to address poverty in the lives of women and children.
