The Watermelon Eating contest at Canteen Taproom is basically just a water-eating contest. That said, come Thursday, July 4 at 6pm, you may be ready for a bit of rehydration. It is free for all 21-plus eaters (or should they be called drinkers?) and there are plenty of prizes. Why not celebrate like our Founding Fathers undoubtedly did and munch down a bunch of watermelon at the local watering hole on Independence Day? For more information, see canteenbrewhouse.com.
