Albuquerque’s Latino Film Festival, ¡Cine Magnifico!, is looking for films by and about Latinos and “the Hispanic cultural background as a symbol of unity, richness and a particular way of life.” The last day to submit films for consideration is this Friday, July 5. Submission fees for features, documentaries and short films are $55 standard and $50 for students. New Mexico-made short films may apply using the student fee. Winners whose films have been selected for inclusion in this year’s festival will be notified by July 31. The festival itself takes place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Guild Cinema this coming Sept. 4 through 8. To submit your work, go to filmfreeway.com, or head to cinemagnifico.com for more information.
