In this interactive hand-on session, open-ended materials are used to experience how mathematical concepts naturally emerge in play.

IN THIS INTERACTIVE AND HANDS-ON SESSION, OPEN-ENDED MATERIALS ARE USED TO EXPERIENCE HOW MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS NATURALLY EMERGE IN PLAY. PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OFCLASSIFICATION, PATTERNING,GEOMETRY, COMPARISON AND OTHER NUMERACY PRINCIPLES VISIBLE AS CHILDREN PLAY. THIS TRAINING WILL HELP YOU SUPPORT THE CHILDREN YOU WORK WITH IN PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS AND COGNITIVELY HIGHER LEVELS OF PLAY.
