Workshop Weekend for Creatives and Arts Entrepreneurs

Getting the Business End of Art

Being an artist is great, unless you are trying to make a living at it. That’s where things get tricky. Fear not, Keshet Center for the Arts helps this weekend, Aug. 24 and 25 with KICC Arts Business Workshop Weekend. This series of workshops runs 10:30am to 4:30pm both days and are designed to teach you the business end of art-making. Eight classes—intellectual property law, dealing with the media, bookkeeping, marketing, publishing, filmmaker’s resources, negotiating skills and grant writing—get you on track to turn what you love to do into something that pays you. Classes are free to KIIC members, or for non-members, $15 each, $30 for one day or $50 for both days. For more information on this all-ages event, see (Clarke Condé)
