Renowned for a unique signature sound blending classic jazz styling with Latin American melodies.

An accomplished singer-songwriter, she is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, with a repertoire encompassing the romance and intimacy of Mexican and Cuban sones and boleros as well as sultry Brazilian beats. She has performed at venues and festivals in the United States, Canada, and Spain as well as Mexico, and has been nominated twice for Mexico’s “Lunas del Auditorio Nacional” award for best jazz concert of the year. Her most recent album, México Azul, was recorded in honor of her country’s bicentennial, including songs by composers such as Agustín Lara who emerged in the heyday of Mexican cinema in the “Época de Oro” of the 1930s and 1940s, and acknowledging the depth and richness of the country’s African roots.
