Artist Lalman Lama is a Master of Sacred Thanka (Scroll) Painting. Thankas are exquisite traditional tools for meditation and healing. These are Sacred Devotional Tibetan Buddhist Paintings made in the traditional manner with prayers, meditations and excruciating details. Made with pure stone and/or vegetable pigment and 14ct gold. Lalman Lama was born in the region of Ramechhap, Nepal but later on he moved to Kathmandu City. Legend goes that he was taught by his grandfather at the age of 10 in the tradition and form of Thanka painting; at the tender age of 13 he was already considered a master! Lalman Lama has mastered several of the various regional styles, making him a truly unique artist.
