Join Ellsworth Gallery, 215 East Palace Ave, Santa Fe, NM, for a roundtable discussion with Doug Coffin, Chaz John, and Dylan McLaughlin. This summer we are featuring three different shows, all highlighting indigenous artists practicing in different media. In the west gallery, we have the first-ever integration of our contemporary art and world-renowned Samurai collection in Doug Coffins, Full Circle: From Far East to Southwest. Chaz John's Rez Dogs II, is the second front of house exhibition for the Choctaw/Winnebago artist, and in the back gallery is Resonant Affect, an installation of mesmerizing and discomfiting drone photographs by Diné artist Dylan McLaughlin. The discussion will be moderated by Santa Fe based Native artist Erica Lord, who has had works in the Smithsonian (Off the Map: Landscape and the Native Imagination), the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum (BadLand), along with two pieces in Ellsworth's group show Censored which opened in February 2019.
