Look at 60 years of comic postcards by five Albuquerque publishers in a far from politically correct presentation poking make fun of pretty much everybody in NM.

The pictures may make you giggle, guffaw, or groan.  We’ll look at 60 years of comic postcards by five Albuquerque publishers: Herbert Hyde, Standley-May (also known as Stand-Lee of Albuquerque), Babcock and Borough, Fred Harvey (no, not THAT Fred Harvey!), and Jerome E. Milord.  Don’t expect this to be a politically correct presentation, because the cards make fun of pretty much everybody in New Mexico – cowboys, tourists, Native Americans, Asians, Hispanos, Anglos, even little kids and dead people.  And, uh, just why would someone attach a bag of uranium ore to a postcard? This is Nancy Tucker’s fourth “Making Change” presentation about Albuquerque postcard publishers.  She is beginning to think there is no end to the stories of the Duke City that can be told with postcards.
