The conference features sessions with master authors, editors and teachers whose goal is to help writers move up to authors; individual mentoring sessions with published authors are available.

The Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) is holding its national writing conference this year in Albuquerque from Thursday, September 12th through Saturday, September 14th.  SouthWest Writers (SWW) is co-sponsoring the event.

The conference will feature sessions with master authors, editors, and teachers whose goal is to help writers move up to authors; individual mentoring sessions with published authors throughout the event; and presentations and panel discussions covering topics such as:

* developing characters and conflicts;

* elements of memoirs and biographies;

* planning and structuring of fiction and non-fiction books;

* honing craft; and

* the importance of editing.

The MWSA’s national conference is one of the most author-accessible events in the U.S., and SWW—based in Albuquerque—is one of the finest writing groups in the country, a collection of authors who help authors.
