Konnichiwa, Burqueños! It’s that time of the year again when we get to hype ourselves up over Aki Matsuri Japanese Fall Festival. On Sunday, Sept. 22, from 10am to 5pm, $5 gets you in to the awesome action at this all-ages event at Veterans' Memorial Park. Kids 12 and under get in for free. With all the cool vendors, there's no shortage of food, dance, celebration, shopping and more, all in one convenient place. The highlight of the festival this year is the ramen-eating contest, where you and a bunch more presumably hungry college students go head to head in an all-out ramen-slurpin’ brawl. For four minutes power through as many ramen cups as possible for the chance to win a $25 gift card to Talin Market, where you'll undoubtedly spend it on the available gourmet ramen.
