"A Fresh Look at Lunar Observing" - Vance Ley

Why we want to look at the Moon and how to do it to ferret out the details of the craters, mares, rills; how to observe these features and the best times to view these areas as the terminator moves across the face of our lunar neighbor after the new moon.

Ley will familiarize you with the landscape of our satellite-- learn to recognize the Seas of Tranquility, Serenity and Fecundity, the craters of Tycho and Copernicus and begin your own exploration of our Moon. There will be new aspects and discoveries for both new and experienced observers, views not often delved into.

International Observe the Moon Night is October 5, 2019!
