Learn techniques that lead to letting go of what cannot be recaptured and allow to reclaim the erotic, sexual and personal sense of self.

Bessel van der Kolk, leading trauma expert and author, has spent a career investigating how trauma affects our experiences of living in our bodies. So often survivors hear the message "Get over it, it's all in your head." Sex educators Matie Fricker and Lacey Stewart, LPCC believe this can be an exceptionally damaging message to hear, especially when trauma affects your experience of sex and pleasure. Join them for a skills-based class on embracing and supporting your sexual self after a trauma. We'll discuss what "triggers" are and how to recognize and manage them, communicating with partners about difficult experiences, and staying present in your body while honoring experience.

Accessibility info: Self Serve's entrance is accessible, and we have an accessible bathroom. Please refrain from wearing heavily scented products as some of our customers have a sensitivity to strongly-scented products.
