Kristina McCaffreyreads from and discusses the work.

A woman walks into a coffee shop… No, it is not the start of a joke, but the start of The Carriers, a novel that takes the reader deep into the hearts and minds of Hadley, Parker, and Jason. These three people are the points of a fascinating love triangle formed of brotherhood, friendship, romance, marriage, and unrequited love.

The woman walks into the coffee shop to meet a childhood friend who needs a stem cell transplant from the biological brother he never knew he had. Through a narrative that shifts across timelines, the reader discovers what brought these three people together and what might still tear them apart.

The Carriers will please readers looking for emotional or cerebral stimulation. It takes a microscope to the inner world of its characters as they navigate circumstances of the highest stakes. The landscape ranges from the clear blue skies of New Mexico to the sweaty streets of New York City. The reader may love the characters or hate them, but no one will be left untouched by the end.
