The Albuquerque Film & Music Experience may be over for 2019, but the festival’s partnership with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science Foundation continues this Friday, Oct. 4, with a screening of Pixar’s beloved animated adventure tale Up. Showing up just in time for Albuquerque’s annual International Balloon Fiesta, the 2009 film tells the story of an elderly widower who goes on one last adventure, tying a bunch of balloons to his house and flying off to a faraway, South American plateau. The film screens in the NMMNH’s DynaTheater (1801 Mountain Road NW) starting at 7pm. Tickets are $10 general admission or $7.50 for AFME sponsors and museum foundation members. You can get tickets in advance by going to abqfilmx.com/afmx-film-series-2019.
