This event features 50 workshops focusing on mountain and hammered dulcimers as well as Celtic harp, bowed psaltery, penny whistle, autoharp, bodhran, spoons, ukulele and country line dancing.
The 2-day event features 50 daytime workshops focusing on mountain and hammered dulcimers, but also Celtic harp, bowed psaltery, penny whistle, harmonica, autoharp, bodhrán, spoons, ukulele, guitar, banjo and more offered by local musicians and nationally recognized artists from Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Oregon and West Virginia. Artists include 3 former National Champions and an INDIE winner (folk music Grammy). Absolute beginner dulcimer workshops include loaner instruments, rental dulcimers are available for the entire weekend, and loaner instruments are provided for some of the other workshops. The festival includes jams, open mics, on-site lunches, on-site music/instrument vendors, and public concerts (7pm each night).
