Free Event & Open to Everyone!

Come to Civic Plaza for an afternoon of youth friendly activities including DJ music, dance performances, basketball contests, rock wall climbing, film screening, special panel discussion, and prizes. The featured film, “Mighty Times: The Children’s March” is the Oscar winning documentary about the Birmingham, Alabama civil rights marches in the 1960s, highlighting the bravery of school aged activists in the Children’s Crusade.

The afternoon of events aims to generate dialogue around youth leadership in ABQ, the pathways for local youth engagement and empowerment of our youth population to impact change in their own communities.

Food trucks will be parked on 3rd Street.

Sponsored by NMBHOC, 350 New Mexico, and the City of Albuquerque.
