Duke City Story Slam is an every-4th-Tuesday true storytelling night sponsored by Storytellers of New Mexico and produced/hosted by Nash Jones.
October's theme - in honor of Halloween - is "What Was THAT??". Ever heard a sound in the night? Had a surreal or ghostly experience? Wondered WTF was that?? We want to hear the story.
3 Featured Storytellers and 4 Open Mic-ers (one could be you!) get up to tell true stories on the theme (without notes). Friendly, supportive judges score each story and top scores take home a prize!
Put your name in when you get to the event for a chance to get drawn for the open mic. Open Mic-ers get 5 minutes on the mic and $1 off beer!
If you don't want to tell a story, just come and listen to some great stories while enjoying a pint of local beer, great food, and community.
