This month we have 2 speakers.

Virginia Trujillo will talk about all the exciting things happening at CNM.  Ms. Trujillo is the incumbent board member for District 6 and also the Secretary of the CNM Governing Board.

Sydney Tellez, Associate Director Common Cause New Mexico will speak to us about Democracy Dollars, Proposition 2 on the November 5th Albuquerque ballot. Proposition 2 is a creative citizen initiative that enhances our current 14-year-old public financing system in the City of Albuquerque by giving eligible residents $25 coupons. They in turn may give their Democracy Dollars to the publicly financed candidates running for City Council or Mayor who earn their contribution and vote.

Gray Panthers brings together young, old, women, men, persons of all ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds for the promotion of social and economic justice. Gray Panthers is a member of Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice.
