In this anniversary year, pay homage to performers, teachers, field workers and researchers who have elevated La Música Nuevomexicana to new levels and its rightful place among world music traditions.

In this anniversary year, we pay homage to those performers, teachers, field workers, and researchers who have elevated La Música Nuevomexicana to a new level and its rightful place among World Music traditions. Our concert theme is the rediscovery, revitalization, and celebration of four centuries of music making. At 7:00 pm on the November 13, New Mexico Musical Heritage Project will begin the evening with a pre-concert event to demonstrate how to make stringed instruments. This will be followed at 7:30 by the Trust's sixth annual Musica del Corazon concert, featuring Frank McCullough, Cipriano Vigil, Bayou Seco, and Lone Pinon. The next night at 6:30 pm will feature a screening of the PBS documentary "İCOLORES! The Musical Adventures of John Donald Robb in New Mexico," followed by a performance of music from John D. Robb's opera, "Joy Comes to Deadhorse."
