LEAP into Science: Science of a Simple Sort
A science workshop for kids ages 6 to 9 to learn to sort or classify living things and better understand the complex natural world, sing observation and classification skills.
LEAP into Science: "Science of a Simple Sort" Join us for a FREE science workshop for ages 6-9. People naturally sort or group things in order to find, display, or compare them more easily. Scientists have sorted or classified living things so that we can better understand our complex natural world. For example, distinguishing a bird from a fish is easy once you’ve learned to look for feathers, not fins. As we go about our daily lives, we sort and classify things all around us, keeping homework separate from other papers and sorting dirty clothes from clean clothes. Using observation and classification skills brings order to our hectic lives.
