RJ Perez • funk, blues

RJ Perez is a guitarist from Albuquerque, NM who has extensive experience as a performer and teacher. RJ’s twenty years in the Albuquerque musice scene has brought him to the stage with acts of Jason Daniello, Ben Hathorne, Roger Jameson, Rodney Bowe, Civitas, RJ Perez Trio, and Ziatron. His latest solo project features intricate, instrumental arrangements of pop tunes, singer/songwriter, and loop jams. In just over a decade of teaching and instruction, RJ has taught over 15,000 private guitar lessons and has provided group instruction for UNM Continuing Education and Moriarty Edgewood School District. He currently is the director of guitar at Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School.
