The Lines of Time: A Retrospective

Created by Twila Miles

Twila Miles comes from a long line of artists…a colorful thread that links multiple generations in her family. She earned a BA in Fine Arts from Davidson College, studied art in France for a while, and has sold pieces to multiple businesses and private collections, both here in the US, as well as abroad.

Art has been a constant outlet for Twila as she lived through many tough times in her life. Her styles have changed over the years, but something about the lines and movement have remained the same. She understands that life is a balance, some days are dark and depressing, but then those days eventually morph into something light and joyful. Twila feels deeply, and allows her paintings to capture the full spectrum of life’s ups and downs. Sometimes people wonder what, exactly, is it that draws them into her art…maybe it is the simple fact that we all experience both turmoil and peace in this life. Maybe, in many authentic ways, we are all way more alike than we are different. If that is the case, then art not only ties Twila to her family lineage, but it is also something that ties us all together as we each grapple with, and rejoice in, our life experiences.

We look forward to your attendance! This show is one night! Saturday December 14th 2019, from 5-9pm. The OT Circus is located at 709 Central Ave NW.
