Anna Sofaer, rediscoverer of the "Sun Dagger" and head of the Solstice Project, and her colleagues Robert Weiner, Univ. Colorado - Boulder and Richard Friedman, San Juan College, will share their latest research findings concerning the extent of the Chaco culture, and their complex solar and lunar astronomy. They will show 3-D models of outlying Great Houses throughout the Chaco world and new results using LiDAR technology to document the enigmatic Chaco “roads,” many of which align with the natural landscape and astronomical direction.

Cost: $8 nonmembers, $7 members, $5 students. Preregistration is encouraged or tickets can be purchased at the door the evening of the event (if seats are available).
