Dublin Toast

O’Niell’s Pub holds their annual New Year’s Eve tradition of the Dublin Toast on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 5pm. Why 5pm? Maybe you’re tired, and you want the thrill of that midnight kiss to ring in the new year but have trouble staying awake late. Thankfully, Ireland refuses to adhere to the laws of America and starts its New Year’s celebrating earlier than the rest of us, so share in a toast to Ireland. They are Shirley Temples for kids, so pump them full of sugar instead. Noted surprises probably do not include a New Year’s- themed Krampus, but definitely traditional Irish step dancers, bagpipes and the joy of being with others.
