FREEMore events at Albuquerque Museum of Art and History
On New Year's Eve, you don't have to stay up late to celebrate. Countdown to the new year early in the day with family and friends at Albuquerque Museum. Grab a hot drink and a house-made treat at our café, Slate at the Museum.
11 a.m. | Watch a screening of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas
Jim Henson’s sweet holiday film Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas is a retelling of the O Henry story, Gift of the Magi. A poor otter family risks everything for the chance to win the cash prize of a talent contest for Christmas. Directed by Jim Henson with performances by Jerry Nelson, Frank Oz, Marilyn Sokol, and Dave Goelz.
10 a.m.–1 p.m. | Create festive accessories
Collars, bow ties, and crowns that you can wear to celebrate the new year—create your own festive accessories using a variety of mixed media.
