"Understanding Lunar Phases" - Jim Roucis

You have undoubtedly noticed that the moon appears with varying illumination each night as the month goes by, but have you ever wondered why?

This presentation describes lunar phases, the cycle of the illumination of the Moon as seen from Earth. Key concepts and nomenclature for the sun-Earth-moon system will be introduced along with an interactive demonstration of lunar phases.
