He might be a transplant, but Lonnie Talbert can be considered as Mr. Albuquerque. When he’s not leading Southwest Capital Bank as the President and Chief Operating Officer, he is volunteering his time to improve our community as the Chair of the Bernalillo County Commission. His experiences in leadership, management, and philanthropy give him a unique perspective on our community. Join us to hear all about them!

About Our Speaker:
As an Operations Executive with 28 years of experience in senior executive positions including President, COO, EVP and Senior VP in the financial services industry. Currently, Lonnie holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer for Southwest Capital Bank, responsible for all day to day operations of the $340 million dollar commercial bank. Lonnie’s proven ability to manage over 1,200 employees, lead a diverse team of leaders at all levels of an organization, oversee multiple remote facilities and teams, administer budgets in excess of $100M, and spearhead process and continuous improvement projects yielding cost savings of over $7M.
In addition to his career in banking, Lonnie was elected to the Bernalillo County Commission representing District 4 in January of 2012. He was subsequently reelected in January of 2016 to his second term and was elected Chairman of the Commission in January of 2020. Lonnie is honored to serve the citizens of Bernalillo County and work to drive a business-friendly economic development environment.
Lonnie is deeply committed to supporting community and philanthropic groups and has served many non-profit organizations in a leadership role.
