All African People's Revolutionary Party - New Mexico presents: We Saved Ourselves! A presentation about how it was African resistance and organization, not European saviors, that led to the abolition of slavery worldwide. From mutinies on slave ships to uprisings across the colonies to armed struggle against colonizers on the African continent, Africans have resisted colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism from the very first moment Europeans set foot on the shores of Africa.

Come smash the myth of the white savior delivering us from chattel slavery and learn about the hidden history of the African-led abolitionist movement and our continuous resistance to imperialist exploitation.

We saved ourselves. Reclaim this history and use it to struggle forward.

Monday February 17th from 2-4PM at Siembra Leadership High School -  524 Central Ave. NW in Albuquerque.
