A Past Beyond Memory
Artist statement:
Every memory and dream we have is ultimately obscured. We try to keep special moments alive but every day we lose a minor detail. Slowly we forget the time and place, the feelings, and thoughts we had. These paintings are merely an attempt to capture those fleeting moments visually with watercolor. This idea of holding onto something that can't truly be detained is what inspires these paintings.
Artist Bio.
Mario Romero was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1989. He attended Central New Mexico Community College earning his associate degree in Fine Art studio concentration. He plans to pursue a career in the tattoo industry. His pieces are primarily done with watercolor and pencil. He has exhibited at the South Broadway Cultural Center, Keep Contemporary and Stranger Factory.
We look forward to your attendance! The OT Circus is located at 709 Central Ave NW in downtown ABQ!
