This series of paintings embodies artist Rebecca Nolda’s interpretation of and response to the rich variety of rock formations surrounding us here in New Mexico. “I have a reverence for geological formations—I like the way the earth layers up and reveals itself to us. It is participating in a process with a different paradigm for time and evolution.
