Thirsty Word Reading Series

Calling all poets for a monthly open mic hosted by Jim Burbank. Ten poets may sign up for a three-minute reading.

THIRSTY WORD FEATURES KARINA K. GUARASCIO AND GINA MARSELLE

                        On Wed., Mar. 12,  7 PM, at the Thirsty Eye Brewing Co., 206 Broadway N.E., Thirsty Word Reading Series presents poet and publisher, Katrina K. Guarascio and poet and photographer, Gina Marselle.  Guarascio’s   Swimming with Elephants Press has played a key role in publishing and promoting  the work of Albuquerque and New Mexico poets. Gina Marselle’s book of photography and poetry,  A Fire of Prayer, was released from Swimming with Elephants  in 2015, An open mic. poetry reading will follow the feature presentation, sign up at 6:30 (3 mins. ea., ten readers.)

             Presented at Thirsty Eye Brewing Co.,  the Thirsty Word Reading  Series features prominent writers who will read every second Wednesday of each month. The brewery, next door to the 208 Gallery, is rapidly becoming a home for artists, poets, writers, and intellectual types who find there a gathering place and a scene that promotes new work and new thinking.
