Bring in your rocks, minerals and fossils on this afternoon and find out from the experts what you have found.

Is it quartz or quartzite? What is the difference between a rock and a mineral? Or between a gem and a mineral?

And just what is that fossil and how old is it?

The first Monday of every month is your chance to talk with experts and find out what "gems" are hiding in your collection.

Offered as a partnership between the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science and the Albuquerque Gem and Mineral Club.
