The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta takes place every year in early October. It is the world’s largest hot air balloon festival and a must-see event for visitors of all ages.  a. A true international event, balloonists and guests travel from all over the world to marvel in the event’s morning mass ascensions that feature hundreds of balloons launching from the Balloon Fiesta Park, the magic of the evening glow events and the excitement of the ballooning competitions and gas balloon race.   This year Balloon Fiesta guests will have the opportunity to attend the Music Fiesta, at Balloon Fiesta Park and not during balloon event hours, guests will be treated to performances by four separate country music acts including headliner Darius Rucker.
