In honor of Mother Angela’s ministry for people of all cultures.

The St. Felix Pantry in Rio Rancho announces its “Annual International Festival” in honor of Mother Angela’s ministry for people of all cultures. Mother Angela is the Foundress of the Felician Sisters in Rio Rancho, NM as well as the Felician Sisters worldwide. The event is in support of its mission, to provide food, clothing, and household items in times of need to New Mexico families.   The highly anticipated fundraiser will take place on October 6, 2013 at the Albuquerque Sheraton Uptown from 1pm-4pm. “Inspired by an International Community, we have some exciting dishes planned,” said Manuel Casias, Vice President of Development for the Pantry. “Dishes from many different countries as well as a variety of performances will be featured. Plus, all proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Felix Pantry”. Casias continued - “In 2012, the Pantry provided groceries for the equivalent of 2 million meals, and fed more than 52,000 households, consisting of 115,549 adults and 90,410 children. Over the past 20 years, demand for our services has never been higher. We register an average of 20 new households a day for food and clothing. Donations and efforts like this festival, are critical to our operations”, he concluded.      Dr. Jack Bunting, President of St. Felix Pantry comments, “The International Festival is going to be a time to memorialize the legacy of the Felician Sisters and the variety of cultures that make up New Mexico’s heritage as the land of enchantment. Please come and join us in a joyful celebration of culture, music and entertainment in support of the St. Felix Pantry”.   Individual tickets and tables are being sold, as well as corporate sponsorships.
