An anthology of 12 contemporary Spanish masters whose dazzling work has been unavailable to the English-language world, until now. RSVP at cenabq@cervantes.es.
Instituto Cervantes, in collaboration with SPAIN, arts & culture, Words Without Borders, UNM, Latin-American and Iberian Institute and the National Hispanic Cultural Center , presents SPAINâS GREAT UNTRANSLATED, an anthology of twelve contemporary Spanish masters whose dazzling work has been unavailable to the English-language world, until now.  SPAIN´S GREAT UNTRANSLATED brings awareness of the works of these great authors as well as promotes further appreciation for great Spanish writers in this country. The authors personally selected their featured works for the anthology. Spanish author Ignacio Martinez de Pisón, Anne McLean (translator of Cortázar, Enrique Vila-Matas or Javier Cercas, among others) and American author Margaret Randall will present the book, and discuss the importance of literary translation.  Free to the public. RSVP at cenabq@cervantes.es. A glass of Spanish wine will be offered to the attendees at the end of the panel discussion. Spainâs Great Untranslated will be available for purchase at the event.
