Class introduces and demonstrates a variety of construction techniques that will result in professional looking garments.

We will discuss interfacings, underlining, different kinds of linings, an easy, fool-proof method of bound buttonhole construction, "bagging garments", dart etiquette, hidden zipper application, sleeve setting theory, perfect collar points and pressing basics. Students are encouraged to bring up their own construction concerns during class. The teacher will attempt to address as many as possible. Bring your sewing machine with dark thread. We will be making samples of some of the techniques to take home and refer to later. (Muslin and zippers supplied by teacher.)
