In honor of Black History Month in February, UNM's Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) and the Health Sciences Center are hosting the “New Mexico African American Legacy” exhibit. Produced by the African American Museum and Cultural Center of New Mexico, the exhibit is on display in the lobby of the Domenici Center for Health Sciences Education (auditorium and NE building) through May 30, 2014. The exhibit focuses on the African American experience from the Civil War into the 1950s and features the communities of Albuquerque, Raton, Santa Fe and Las Cruces.
