Throne room?

Yes, it’s true: The Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe (which just happens to be owned by fantasy titan George R.R. Martin) will be hosting a sneak preview of season 4 of “Game of Thrones” this Saturday, March 29. That’s a full week before it airs on HBO. The Spanish language dub will start at 10:30am (doors at 10am). The English language version will start at 1:30pm (doors at 1pm). This is a free event, but seating is extremely limited, and tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. The line cannot be formed until 24 hours before the showing. You are not allowed to camp in tents. Guests must remain in line. No cutting or saving places. Excited by the prospect of a new “Thrones” season, Santa Fe Mayor Javier Gonzales has declared Saturday, March 29, George R.R. Martin Day. There will be a special presentation at the Sanbusco Market Center (500 Montezuma Ave.) featuring the mayor, Martin and new “Game of Thrones” cast member Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell). As a special bonus, the actual “Iron Throne” will be on display at Sanbusco from 9:30am to 5pm, which should make for a fine fanboy/girl photo op. The Jean Cocteau is located at 418 Montezuma Ave., across the street from Sanbusco Market Center.
