Artworks that address adaptations people make when faced with disease and illness.

SCA is proud to present Adaptations: An Exhibition About Survival. The artworks

for this exhibition address the adaptations people make when faced with

profound disease and illness. Survival under changing and extreme conditions

means resolving problems and challenges. Adaptation requires the ability to

make adjustments and embrace change in the wake of serious disease and it's

treatments. Artists and their caretakers present emotional, physical, spiritual, and

other methods he or she has had to make when confronted with disease, and the

extreme conditions that come with it, in order to survive.
