I've killed every plant I've owned. I'm known around the nurseries as "el Verde Muerte." Leaves shake when I walk in. So, yeah, I spend a ton on new plants to feed my ever-growing need for fresh victims. I just killed an azalea last week, so it's serendipitous that the Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs is hosting its Annual Spring Plant Sale this Friday, April 28, from 1-6pm, and Saturday, April 29, from 9am-noon. The sale is happening at the Albuquerque Garden Center: Hopefully someone there will stop me. Why won't anyone stop me? (Joshua Lee)

City on the Edge is a breezy, smart podcast looking at the stories from Albuquerque history that have often been overlooked. Each episode takes a deep dive into a topic like the 1955 crash of TWA flight 260, Sandia Man or the 1918 quarantine. Worthwhile listening that will spur your curiosity about things you didn’t even know about in the city where you live. It’s free and available wherever you get your podcasts. (Clarke Condé)
