I've killed every plant I've owned. I'm known around the nurseries as "el Verde Muerte." Leaves shake when I walk in. So, yeah, I spend a ton on new plants to feed my ever-growing need for fresh victims. I just killed an azalea last week, so it's serendipitous that the Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs is hosting its Annual Spring Plant Sale this Friday, April 28, from 1-6pm, and Saturday, April 29, from 9am-noon. The sale is happening at the Albuquerque Garden Center: Hopefully someone there will stop me. Why won't anyone stop me? (Joshua Lee)Albuquerque Garden CenterAnnual Plant Sale

How good are you at counting to 20? Well, you better practice so that you're ready for the most Epic Hide and Seek happening at Bachechi Open Space on Sunday, April 30. With free range of the park, there are more than enough hiding places, so get lost; this bush is my hidingspot. This is a family-friendly and free event that includes several other outdoor games like camouflage, deer and wolf, and others. So get to stretching and ready or not, here I come! - City on the Edge
City on the Edge is a breezy, smart podcast looking at the stories from Albuquerque history that have often been overlooked. Each episode takes a deep dive into a topic like the 1955 crash of TWA flight 260, Sandia Man or the 1918 quarantine. Worthwhile listening that will spur your curiosity about things you didn’t even know about in the city where you live. It’s free and available wherever you get your podcasts. (Clarke Condé)
